The article in Zoom makes them SOUND like a good thing - but who knows what the reality is... Why not call them up, see if they'd be willing to offer some kind of money back gaurantee, and get someone to set it up on a flowbench, maybe in comparison to whatever cat you use now. That way, you'd be more likely to get your money back than if you actually put it on your car, and measured the pressure drop.

Call Magic and ask what the difference was on the flow bench (it will at least give some idea to the flow difference).
Matt (proprietor of Magic) is well versed in performance and measuring the gains (he does have a 10sec RA23 Celica) and I am sure that he will be able to disseminate any information that you may need in regards to any product that he sells.

I wonder if RTA inspection would recognise it as a cat... they might think its just a resonator or somthing.

how many people have 4" exhausts?
Are you going to use reducers to connect to the current exhaust?

Well the older design were cut off at 4 inch pipe although this newer design is actually reduced down to a few mm off 3 inch to allow a direct welding of 3 inch pipe

thats easy solved, the epa wave a heat wand undere your exhaust before and after the cat, they will see a vast drop in temp after the cat as the cat retains heat to burn the bad gases.
they dont need to look through it.
have seen the test done.
