ok, an unnamed wrecker (after i asked him to find me an engine) reckons that the engine in my car, a bluetop/bigport 4age, is an import engine
now as far as i know, there were never any bluetops in japan 
just want to confirm this...

Your engine was assembled in Japan (as all 4AGE's were as far as I am aware) hence calling it an import even though it was built for the ADM. I am talking outta my arse.......
Most bogan wreckers just call anything that is not a Holden or Ford an import.

ah, ok, now i see what he meant, though they do do lots of jap cars
he was just saying that since my engine was an import, it would be hard to find one, and i thought "what the?"
