ST185 Stereo wire diagram (need to do an install) Fri, 24 June 2005 06:08 Go to next message
I did a quick search but couldnt find much except
for people paying other people to do it.

If you have done it yourself and know of a wire diagram,
please let me know as I would like to have a fricken radio/cd player ASAP.

Its pretty boring driving without one.

If you still have the factory loom with the plug attached go and grab yourself a loom adaptor to suit "Fujitsu Ten" stereo's installed in Toyota vehicles.

Using these saves you from having to chop your factory loom and also come with clearly labelled wires in standardised colours.

Trust me... its worth hunting around for one.

Yep !

Super Cheap Auto sell em. About $20. Saves cutting/splicing into the original loom.

or for those who arent daunted by the task of testing the wires.... all you need is a multimeter and a 9V battery.

Its a Jap import. I think they have a duel CD/cassett looking at the double Din gap (any suggestion on how to block it?)

Im not sure if this is a "System 10"

Which wire diagram/Fijitsu 10 do I need?

I might lean towards the adaptor if it has 15cm or so of length

I think the car has tweeters near the mirrors, but they are not shown on this link?

If it has tweeters they will just be split by a little crossover cap from the midbass driver.
There will not be a seperate set of wires going to the stereo just for the tweeter.
Just get the "Fujitsu Ten" type loom adaptor from Repco, Supercheap or whoever sells them near you and you're ready to rock n roll!

I got mine from Repco and it was actually a Fujitsu ten to ISO adaptor... I just cut the ISO connectors off and wired my Pioneer loom up to it.

To block the hole (Din) get a Toyota Din Pocket from any wrecker. I got mine from the Camry but also a few other Toyotas have them... Don't pay any more then AUD$10 for it. In AutoBahn they are around AUD$40 *I think*

Cheers.
