Hi,
I have a 4AGZE'd AW11 MR2. I have ditched my mechanical water pump for an electric (Davies Craig) pump, due to SC14 conversion and the mechanical water pump doesn't fit anymore. I have removed the thermostat too, and have a custom hardware to run the water pump. It runs slow when water temp is cold basically.

My setup is this:
====================
Thermostat is GONE, all standard metal water metal pipes are GONE. This is ALL I have :-

1. the pump sources cold water from radiator and pumps it into the block where the old water pump use to pump into, BUT T'd into this pump outlet is the smaller line that goes to the heater.
And yes, I know, its cool water going to the heater..please read on..

2. the water exits the engine through the standard rectangle hole on side of head and goes back to the radiatior

3. heater outlet on back of head goes to heater, but flow is reversed (read point 1. again for why)

Is there a problem with pumping cool water into the 'old heater outlet' instead of hot heater water coming out. This setup would mean the only place hot water leaves the engine is the rectangular hole on the side of the head in (2).
----------------

I actually screwed up, but I want to hear if anyone thinks there will be a problem with this unorthodox approach, before I spend an hour fixing it.

Regards, Nick
