Wanted: MX13/MX23 bumpers Fri, 24 June 2005 19:33 Go to next message
Seeing all the pictures of the Corona MarkII's in Australia, they all have the sleek integrated chrome bumpers. I would like to get these for mine and replace my corroding aluminum crash bumpers that we got here...

They wouldn't have to be perfect, but something worth having and refinishing - please contact me.

Thanks.http://forums.toymods.org.au/index.php?t=getfile&id=12784

Oh dear I see your problem...is that really the original factory issse North American market rear bumper?..The MX13/23 are the same on the front as far as I am aware BUT the rear for the MX23(the very desirable coupe) are quite different..no rubber ends on them in Australia either..cannot help you but thought you should be aware..Cheers
Have a look on www.toyotacorona.com in the feature cars...my now sold (and sold again) blue MX13 is still shown in there I think..
Cheers,

Earlier years would have been slightly better, but for '76 they were these huge 'crash' bumpers to probably try to live up to the 5mph or 10mph testing, whatever it was.

It appears as if it is true too of other models. An Aus-spec Cressida will have sleeker bumpers where the US/Can-spec ones are so big you could throw a tailgate party...

Thanks for the info...

Kevin
