I need to replace a 22R head on a Hilux – the original has cracked. I have noticed that some Corona’s were fitted with the 22R engine, and I have noticed a few of these are being wrecked cheaply. Are the heads interchangeable between the Hiluxes and Coronas fitted with the 22R? Thanks.

I believe so - there are 2 versions of the 22R/E, the short deck & tall deck versions, with incompatible heads.... but I'm faily sure that in Australia we only ever got the latter version.
