os this the one with triple syncros on second gear ect? i might be in the market for a new gear box soon for my st185 and wondering if buying this and getting it rebuilt would be better off then getting mine rebuilt

im not totaly sure hey, i will ask around but shes off a Group A carlos sainz so i dont why it wouldnt be  i will ask my "contacts" and get back to you tomorrow

ps... the carlos sainz models were released in various years , so it wont necessarily have the late gear set in it.

shes out of a st-185h, 1992 model im told but no plates to prove the age, if its any help tho the plates say the trans/axle is E151F - 764
|

there is a set of numbers stamped on the flange where the gearbox bolts to the engine. quite often near the starter. tell me what they are please. I have emiailed you separately and said I'm interested if its got the late syncro arrangment.

as far as I can tell, thats a plain GT4 box. research indicates the GpA box was the same as all the GT4's of that year
it will definitley not have the triple cone syncros. it will probabaly need the same repairs as every other GT4 box I've pulled apart, eg stuffed 2nd & 3rd gear syncros & hubs. rest should be fine unless its been at the drags.
