It's that time of year again - the Altezza Club are holding another Ian Luff Stage 1.5 Advanced Driving Course at Oran Park.
For those who don't know, the Ian Luff advanced driving course is a chance for you to get out and learn the basics of how your car stops and turns on the limit in a safe and controlled environment. And it's bloody good fun!
Why Stage 1.5? Because this is a car club orientated day, the Luff crew throw in some stage 2 cloverleaf, skidpan and slalom to go with the stage 1 stuff.

Hmmm tell us the price son is it the same as that listed for last year ie 200 bucks for no members, and second do they let p-platers on the course with the 1.5 stage stuff. Hehe the corona needs another thrashing.

Unfortunately, no low low price this year, as last year we had Speed Magazine coverage (Issue 18, R35 GTR on the cover, page....something....  ) $250.00 this time around.
This year does include the catered lunch though. All details are here:

shit just realised its on a monday i'm out cos of work. thanks anyway, i have already done a basic course at eastern creek 190 bucks with catered lunch and other food, but you can't do any level 2 stuff there or any other normal courses when on p's hence my interest.

at any of the venues i have checked and looked at the website being luff, finaly, ARDC ones at eastern creek, they won't let p-platers do the level 2 course as it invloves controlling understeer and over steer and they don't seem to think that that is a skill a p-plater one needs and two should have. The problem is some ppl will do the course then think they are king shit cos they have done a course and try it out on the street.
Whats laughable though is that they are still doing it on the street but have a very vague idea of how to control it, hence they'd still be safer after having done the course and most courses are as much about improving driver attitude as they are about improving skills

ok. ive done stage 1 at the end the offered us to do stage 2 with a discount and the said nothing about p platers not doing it
ohh well i guess i have to wait
