i'm going to try a mates workshop tomorow.
but some of the well known places cost too much.
I know you get what ya pay for but all i want is a mixture set idle down a little and just get it runing nicer.
doesnt have to add 50hp jus run a little smoother.
been quoted like $100 to check and 1.5hrs @ $100 to tune.
I cant justify that cost when i want efi in a few months.
motor is 18rgu with twin 40mm solex mikuni sidedrafts.
step up yall back yard tinkers/!?!

Hi,
I wouldn't spend too much if your getting EFI soon.
To rebuild and fully tune a set of Solex you're looking at around $700+. Mind you, afterwards you think it's a new motor. Best money I've spent on the old girl in a long time.
And, if you need this done I suggest you take it to Frank Kleinig - though I did hear through the grapevine that he's now retired. That's a bummer, who's gonna be able to tune these mofos next time?
