	| 7MGTE Manual Swap into MZ20 Please Help |  Fri, 01 July 2005 10:49   |  |  |
	| I am buying an MZ20 Soarer. There is no one who knows much about the Soarer here so please help. I need to know how hard it is to do a manual swap.
 What parts do I need exactly?
 How hard is it?
 Do I need a manual ECU?
 Cost?
 Is it worth it?
 Should I just try and find a GZ20 with manual 1G in it?
 Can I swap a manual 1JZ into an auto MZ20 in the future?

 Thanks

	| 1.well if it is auto you will need pedals, belhousing ect. 2.I wouldn't think it is hard if you know what your doing, a few people have.
 3.No, but it would be better if you do have a man ECU. You can run a manual with an auto ECU but not the other way around.
 4.depends on how much your are going to do
 5.depends on how much you want a manual
 6.GTE and 7M's are different motors. again depends on what you really want out of it
 7.yes. you can do anything if you have the money.

 I am sure someone else will come give you specific details but that is my thoughts.

	| Get an R154 from an MA70 supra.
 You will need gearbox, bellhousing, clutch, shifter, slave, gearbox crossmember, tailshaft and something to cut a hole in the tranny tunnel to fit the shifter.

 Cost = alot.

 Don't need a manual ecu, just got to fool the auto ecu with the neutral start switch.

 Worth it... Yes.

 Gz20 = slow and boring

 1JZ will bolt right in if you can find a JZA70 supra half cut and crossmember. If you already have the R154 gearbox then you will need a new JZ bellhousing for it.
