me and my old man just pulled the f@$king thing off. is it always so hard? we had to pull off most of the actual pedal assembly to get to the bolts on the inside of firewall before taking off the bolt in the engine bay. took us almost an hour. is there an easier way?
help much appreciated

There should be one bolt on the engine bay side of the firewall, one on the interior side of the firewall, then take the pin out of the pushrod where it connects to the pedal by removing the circlip holding it on.. and take off the hydraulic line running to the SC.
The two bolts on the actually MC are bastards to get to, a ratchet spanner would make easy work of them.. an hour for the first time probably isn't too bad, 20 - 30mins it would normally take, though.

you need a really deep socket (with thin walls if that makes sense) to get to the inside one. i know you mean its a real PITA to get to - i bought a set of long impact sockets for this purpose alone - supercheap $20 - money well spent.
