Guys,
I am soon in the process of completing the engine (once the rad gets here), and can't for the life of me remember where this bloody hose goes

It is an 1983 MA61 with 7M-GTE. The hose I am after is the small one with the arrow
Cheers

Yep, charcoal canister purge (I think its called purge?).
Charles I thought the small line coming off the large line was for the cruise? Not that it matters its all engine manifold pressure regardless

yah ... purge would make sense - you dont want petrol fumes making their way into the booster

Cheers Wilbo, I reckon you are right. The large one is for the Cruise

I blanked mine too, but in retrospect it would have made a great line to run boost guage off

do you have to run the boost gauge off a plenum-side vac line or can it be anywhere?

from memory I'm reasonably sure that vac line, if you follow it along the firewall, goes back into the plenum.

While it's a different car, i think it may be the same, so ill ask this question-
If I ran a T-piece in the line just before the cruise control actuator, could I fit a boost gauge onto that T piece and still maintain cruise control AND have a functioning boost gauge at the same time?
Will save me from running it all the way from the front of the plenum, that's all.

As long as the line goes straight back to the plenum, and not to a vacuum chamber then yes.
But cruise control actuators, and the heater controls can sometimes go back to a vacuum chamber, so they can still work at WOT and boost.

I shall investigate where that line heads then.
Thanks for your advice.
