Ok Pulling up at the lights tonight in a single lane right turn two cars pull up behind me one some tiny thing not sure what it was and another car with the subs so high his plates rattled...
anyway light go green and we turn the corner on to a highway of 3 lanes . I stick to the inside lane the little thing goes wide and the bass guy goes to the middle. Now the little car putted around the corner to leave the bass guy stuck behind him so i was about 100m ahead then i see these lights pull close and closer, So as I pull up to the next lights I can here the cal pull up next to me and its some Looser in a white EXA with his seat in the lay back position and his arm out the window... So I look at him and laugh and he just winks and looks ahead
Its now that the stage is set. As the lights turn orange on the other side I start to raise the revs ass does he, when the lights go green I see the little car fly through revving its nuts off! then I can hear the exa getting ready to change gear.... My 18rc 3 speed auto is stuffed so i can ride 1st till 80 and still pull before it cries for help and as he changes for 2nd I sart to pull away, By now the little guy is out of the picture and the exa is right behind me An'd I start to think that maybe he's not racing, But then I hear him chirp into 3rd so i know its on approaching 90 he starts to real me in slowly but by 100 he is still only at my passenger door and since its an 80 limit i let it go as he flys away through the next set of lights.....
Now I'm pretty sure he wasn't giving it his all but I really dont
care if you drive and 18rc 3 speed auto then a win is a win!!!
And it just happened to be one of those nights when my 18rc goes light a bat out of hell and with my GF in the car it was a good chance to show off, not that it worked.
But it was great fun Does anybody know how these EXA's go?
Any chance of and 18RGeu beating one in a real race or am i dreaming?
hehehe long story but i had to boast

Heh, EXA. Carb leaded turbo. (I think they might have EFI as well, dunno, don't care, they are POS).
But what was that other car that took off and vanished?

The other car looked like an Old laser or Charade or something like that... It didn't take off and leave us it only burst past as the lights turned green ( rolling start ) but he was well behind by the time we hit 2nd.

Datto Pulsar Exa: 1.5l E15T sohc mpi turbo (t2 stock).
no idea wat stock power is, but in bog stocker, i was harrassing them with my lil blue celica
they are tin boxes on boost, so in a straight line they do pack a bit of go. But show it a corner and the whole chassis will flex in fright. along with the driver...

they put out just over 100bhp stock... but bear in mind they weigh under 900kg
also remember most of the exas out there have been thrashed nealy to death, and are not running anywhere near those stock figures

I thought the 1.8 litre ones were Non turbo.....as in a CA18DE....
I don't know jack about front wheel drive Nissan's though.... don't particularly want to either.

dont just limit it to the cordias.
my brother has a starion, supposedly superior, and it's just shat itself.
the exas run ca18 DE's, but tehre are quite a few around with turbo conversions.. supposedly go ok once they got a turbo on them (for an exa anyhow).
if anyone sees the exa "exa 083" around, that's a friend of mine's old car. has mags, lowered, skirts, and 2 air intakes in the bonnet. he sold it just as the engine internals were about to give up.. apparently the 3 ways to pick it now are wheeze off valve (sounds like a cat being run over), blows loads of smoke, and backfires like nothing else

I own an ET pulsar that used to have an E15ET init that went real well untill i blew the rings out of it it was makin a fair bit of power, it used to beat V8 commo's andit even gave a WRX a run for its money(it was a rolling start so the 4WD didnt have any effect)and would wheel spin into 3rd gear at 100kph it wasnt to std tho, now it has a CA18DET init and it is gonna haul ass but the CA is getting a big turbo and alot of bolton mods :)im hopein to get it to run 12's
