Freak my turbo is a t-25 of the ca18det, it works well.... Evil or Very Mad
but i have it on a ze not a ge.....
i think the rb ones are roller or ball bearing?? which would make them a better turbo.....they are of a 6cyl, so i'm not sure if it would be to big? for a ge??
but then again, i think tuneing (as well as research and planning) is the key to being boosted no mater what engine you use.......

I've used both RB20 and RB25 roller bearing (not the rb20 plain bearing Cefira or r31 turbos), both work reasonably well, although I'm looking at a bit of a hibrid one soon. I'll letcha know how that works..

the ge being higher compression would that have any affect on spooling it up faster?

nope higher compression wont make it spool faster it will just give your motor more reason to blow up quicker thats the only thing the more comp will do. the more exhaust gasses spin the turbo the more gasses the more spool.

hmmmmm... I'm not so sure about that one, I reckon higher compression (therefore greater combustion pressures, and higher exhaust gas flow) should result in making boost earlier in the rev range.

I'll have to go away and think about it Smile

any ideas?

Freak pulcino, has a turbo on his 'ge' aw11..it spools up at virtually the same time as my 'ze'.. go figure?....

air vilocity and probably the size of the turbine wheel housing are the major factor in how early a turbo spools up...that is my understanding of it all....????

it is something to think about though.....
