RT104 Gearbox to 5 Speed

Guys,
I am an older guy who has an RT104 4 speed fitted behind a Holden 3.3ltr Red motor. It goes well, but I want a bit more economy.
I have been told that a 5th Gear extension housing can be fitted to the RT104 out of a Celica?
Any one know how to do this or where I can get the parts/whole gearbox.
Cheers

Look at the ID plate.
If its a W40, just get a W50

Geoff
As cruzsida has said just source a w50 box out of a celica and it is a direct replacement for your gearbox. Should cost you no more than $200 for a good box plus the cost of someone doing the changeover.

geoff...the only problem to watch out for is the 5 speed has 2 or 3 diffrent selector positions. ie gear stick is mounted in diifrent posn on the gearbox, depending on the vehicle type it was originally installed...the 4 speed and 5 speed are the same length.

Shifter positions are fully interchangeable, so it doesn't matter what you get with the 5speed. Just put the 4speed one on.
