Pennant Hills Rd speed cameras

Going to work this morning I noticed a fixed speed camera on the hill just after the big M2 intersection (Pennant Hills rd). Does anyone know how long that's been there?
On the way home this arvo I noticed another fixed speed camera on Pennant Hills rd in Thornleigh (on the corner opposite Midas). Now I did see a Police Rodeo - not a paddy wagon - and an officer in overalls on a ladder on that intersection a couple of weeks ago, but I thought he was doing something with the red light camera.
Hoping that one's not operational yet as I was doing 10 over as I noticed it.

There has to be three signs before the camera... If there is not, then the camera is not working yet or they are tightarses...

ben is correct, there has to be three forms of warning before the camera, by law they have to be there and if they are not there, then you are home free.I live at hornsby and went down there just the other day, and i did not see them either

I worked it out over the last couple of days. Looks like they're actually red light cameras. There's a few new signs warning of them. It was just a bit weird because these new ones have two poles that look exactly like speed cameras.
