Another one!?! I had a couple of ST grilles that I found on 23/28 models so I decided to sacrifice one for an little experiment on my 22. The 23/28 grille is quite a bit wider so I cut the appropriate piece out of the centre to reduce the width. I had to be mindful when plastic welding the two pieces together to match the angle (when viewed from above) of the original 22 grille (which is less pointy than the 23/28 models).
The grill in the picture looks like it has been cut as supra1978 said. If you look near the centre of the grill, one of the columns of oval things look a lot smaller than the rest.
