ST185 running gear limits

G'day,
How much power can the running gear from the Grp A 185 before stuff starts to go wrong?? What are the limits for everyday driving? Looking at getting rebuild and want to know what power output to go for...

the engine has been known to reliably support 500HP on stock internals for a fair while, with nothign but a new head gasket
running gear i assume ur speaking of driveline and gearbox
GT4 driveline and gearbox = unbreakable
