it did .8 BAR
seems pretty weak for a GEN 2 motor.
someone had played with the duty cycles on my AVC-R it spiked to 1.2BAR (16psi) on low oil.. some knock started to happen and I didnt know it low on oil.. till it was too late damage had happened

Yeah that AVCR is evil, my mate works at a car yard and took a customers car out, r34 gtt skyline anyway hes playing with the avcr and says whats 2 bar boost after putting it up to 2 bar, and it was on 1 bar originally. The car did fly after, but luck we didnt blow the engine or turbo's that day.
whats a gen3 3sgte mr2 rear cut worth?.

is the gen 3 really worth over the gen2?
im on a budget and it seems like it will cost me 8K to get a new engine in now thats alot of money is it better buy another motor to stregthen or just go all out gen 3?
whats involved in the swap?
|
a rebuild with forgies etc of the gen2 wont' cost you 8k
and ESPECIALLY if you take it out yourself, maybe half that

He said he has a budget though.
The Gen 3 is good. It's probably more cost effective to get your engine rebuilt though, or even replace it with a good known running Gen 2.
