hello........ well i have almost finished a 3tgte conversion into an ra23........ so i decided to check up about blueslip needs and was told by the motor registary that i would need some documentation on the engine, history of it etc....... i bought the engine about 90 percent converted in the car a few years ago now and the guy i bought it had done most of it....... i have got back in touch with him for the engine documentation as i have got all the body documentation needed and he isnt able to tell me anything except he bought it from an importer in syd of a crate and it was a jap import front cut....... am i able to trace this engine or can i get around this little hurdle some how else....... this is another annoying unforseen circumstance any help will be greatly appreciated and thanked........ garrick
what about getting the chap that sold it to you to write you a reciept specifying the engine number selling you the engine ? hence you have proof of purchase. that is generally all the rta want in my experience. once they have something with your name/addy/dl number saying you have purchased it for X dollars they are happy.
this is assuming the engine is legit and not reported stolen etc.
