silly wiring question

I am wiring in a small solenoid on the aux output on my wolf 3d so that it opens when the idle drops below a certain amount. Basically a mini ISCV. On the diagram it says I need to wire in a diode between the wolf signal and the 12v wire. What voltage diode would I be needing here?

I don't believe diodes are rated by voltage. You may find you only need to know how much current they have to be capable of carrying.
If anything.. 1N4004? the big 8amp rated suckers do most of the jobs i need.

Aah, thanks mate. Just noticed that IN4004 was on the diagram but I wasn't sure if it was a code or what. So dick smiths will know what an IN4004 is then?
