I'm aiming to have a new car before the end of the year.
looking to spend about $5000 - $8000 on a hilux
things i'm interested in are:
what years and makes should i be looking at?
i'm after a petrol single cab 4 x 2
something i can mod for a mini truck, etc.
i have no idea what models, and prices are out there, so i came here for ideas and advice.
cheers.
teh.

the 22r powered hilux's seem to be a popular choice, usually singlecab but occasioanally twincabs.

I had a 1997 Holden Rodeo SpaceCab.
Spent $40,000 on it over 4 years.
*Hangs head in shame*
Then I sold it for $9,000 and bought my GZ20 Soarer.
Man what I could have done to my Soarer with that coin.

I bought mine lux (92 extracab) for $5000. Mine needed a little bit of TLC, but i wanted a blank canvas, so i didn't feel bad cutting it up. So for 7k you should be able to find one.
