Hi,
Like all super-powers they have this massive fear of losing their power and becoming just another ordinary player in the world community.
All super-powers come.... and they wane. History shows these things happen... Roman Empire, Greeks, Spain & Portugal, British Empire and Germany. They've all had their day. The USA's turn will come, but she'll fight it all the way. It's inevitable.
