Hey guys
im just your run of the mill 3s-gte convertee, however i didnt just get some normal 3sgte, i got a carlos sainz Grp A with a triple sincro gearbox, special shit im told
now i know that the front end of both the 184R chassis and the 185RC chassis are the same in every way that ive seen,
and now whats going thru my head is that if i can bolt in a 3s-gte, then with some minor ajustments i can also install the total rear diff for AWD,
ive been looking and asking around and most dont see why i cant do so but i still dont know fully and getting a hold of TRD or TDR or anyone to do with toyota rally is a little hard for the obvious reasons
so if anyone with a GT4, be it a normal one or Grp A one could snap some shots of the underside it would be with great thanks,
plus if anyone has any info, sites, friends who know or have done simaialr its also with great thanks
cheers

not really, ive had a look under there and if i remove my spare tyre pod/move it, and get a new fuel tank and such i could do it, but as everyones always saying, im just gunna look for either a worn down GT4 or a shell with diff and convert everything over but still any info is helpful
and thanks for the feedback b3rad

a hahahahahahahaha well i think with the manlove its a pretty sweet deal , i dont really have money tho :S so im planning to either find a dead GT4 and replace the motor with mine or just sell the whole lot and get a bloody sprinter like i wanted to do so in the first place!

import a JDM GT4 - theyc an be purchased for under 10K if you dont mind it rough - then do the swap
Sprinters - meh - unless you want to go totally nuts with one - they will never match a Gt4 for outright performance potential

You dont sound biased at all. Nope.
Take the blinkers off man. We all like to think that our own cars are better than everyone elses, but even in this case(talking about dorifto sprinters and all) we all know there are sprinters around that will out perform GT4 in every aspect. Even some sprinters on this forum are capable.

thats why i said unless you go nuts shane ..
i dont doubt the MODIFIED sprinters would be capable - ie ones with better brakes and suspension , upgraded and or force fed motors - etc etc, but your standard run of the mill 4ag swap - i dont think so
build somethng like improved86's for example - and it will flog a gt4 day in day out but basic gt4 Vs say basic 4ag sprinter - theres no bias about it .But hey - its the guys choice - i know whats better bang for bucks in the end in my blinkered oppinion
