Perhaps you should say how your brakes are crap. I've got an AE82 twincam and mine are just fine.
There's obviously more to a braking system than pads and fluid. Give us a better idea and someone might be able to provide some advice.

I can't speak for carsanactra but from mu own experiences in owning a AE92 SX and driving a friends AE82 SX many times. The way in which they are crap is extremely simple.
They lack sheer stopping power, even for the power of a standard car.
My Celica SX ST162 was similarly afflicted, although not to the same extent.
BTW both my (ex thank goodness) car and my friends' AE82 were both well maintained in the brake dept.

yeah brakes on the ae82 have no stopping power.
however, for the st162. if the brakes are the close to the st165 brakes (prob not, but anyways), they are awsome.
my st165 stops on command (if it doesnt lock up and skid that is), heaps of stopping power.

the stock brakes on a AE82 twincam are usually awesome. (4 wheel discs on a light car = good brakes) maybee there is a problem in the master cylinder or calipers.

Thats what I've been trying to say.
The thing to remember is this car is up to 20 years old. If the brakes have just had pad changes over that time for example, then plenty of other things probably need attention. Rotors could by passed their machining limits, master cylinder, leaks etc etc.
I'd think about letting a brake specialist go over the system and see if there's anything wrong.
Otherwise, if you just want bigger brakes the link is posted above.

Ok, i know what the ae92 sx is but what the hell is the ae82 sx
Besides worth noting is that the ae82 twinkys front brakes is a vented 243mm x 18mm rotor.
The ae92 sx runs a vented 238mm x 18mm rotor.
While the ae93 twinky uses a vented 258mm x 22mm rotor.
And the ae102 1.8litre uses a vented 255mm x 22mm rotor.
My opinion - use the ae93 twinky rotors (DBA708) and find some calipers from the ae102.
Or use the superstrut brakes from the import ae101 and sleep easy at night

got the 258mmx22 and calipers on mine ae82, i think they came from a GTZ levin
they work very well considering i've still got drums on the arse end and the drums dont work for shit.
pulls up quite well considering. not aswell as the mr2 but nothing to complain about.
