They have misinformed you...This is a 4A engine of some description. It is a 1.6 l engine. If it has 16 valves then it is a 4AGE or a 4AFE/C.
Without seeing the engine I can't help you more than that.

as gianttomato mentioned already, it has to be 1.6L A series engine..
as the engine number starts with 4A, it has to be 1.6L A Series, but you said it's a 2.0L?? Unless you have a silvertop or blacktop, which on the spark plug cover, it would read "Twin Cam 20", which makes some people think it's 2.0L, but then you said it's a 16 valve, did you disassemble the engine and saw 16 valve? Or did you think it's a 16 valve because it reads "Twin Cam"???
If the spark plug cover reads "TWIN CAM 20" it would have to be a 20v 4AGE, is the cam cover black or silver? I'd be interested, but it's probably out of my price range..

Can you take some photos of it and send them to

Thanks man... If it's a 4A, I might offer you a nice price...
