Hmmmm, not so much a Member's Ride - as it's currently in pieces awaiting repair (hey, it's an old GT4 - get used to it!!!), but yet another thread to get me enthused about the car! Bought in Sydney earlier this year and killed in Canberra - it was freighted back to WA, and awaits my magic wand! Rebuild plans are slightly different everyone else's, so heres a summary of planned mods thus far:
Round One:
Replace dead engine and tired gearbox, with a low Km ST185 JDM unit from the halfcut also supplied with the car's purchase.
Install gen 3 sump and oil pump for relocated oil filter position.
Replace timing belt before installation, and add lots of consumable new parts!
Install Gen 2 3SGE cams for larger lift.
Install Gen 1 3SGE inlet manifold for relocted throttle body.
Install TVIS actuation control.
Install 65mm throttle body (probably Falcon unit - yet to be decided other than size).
Construct and install 2.5" mandrel bent intercooler piping, including a straight intake pipe into turbo.
Install high flowed CT26 - fully rebuilt with Garrett TO4E Comp wheel and profile ground Steel turbine wheel.
Make and install custom dump pipe with seperate wastegate runner, blending into a mandrel bent 3" system (first cat will be removed).
Get me one of those lightweight new Chrome Moly lightweight flywheels advertised all the time on Yahoo Japan all the time.
Purchase and install a Clutch good enough to suit my motorsport/daily driver/chick chariot requirements - we all know motorsport will determine what I end up buying - the chicks can get stuffed on this decision!!!
Remove top mount intercooler, and replace with front mount unit (EVO 6 item in the shed for the job).
Do something with the BOV currently on it.
Replace Front bumper with a SX item for driving lights, also modified to enlargen front air intake area, and install brake ducts for future track work.
Replace worn front and rear struts, and stop the bloody diff wander!!!
Find some decent wheels and tyres.
Get it regoed and use the bloody thing!!!
Round Two:
Build and install close ratio gearbox.
More suspension work!
probably more tyres by this stage too - I like em soft!!!
Install ST185 Group A ECU, or ST205 Group A ECU - undecided atm.
Replace front seats with better items.
Improve the brakes and rotor size - ST205 items probably, but still undecided.
Install ST185 Group A bonnet.
Panel and paint the bloody thing to make it look respectable!
And the donor for all this money wastage:

should be around the 4000 RPM mark at a guess
mine just doesnt work - or kick in at all even though everything checks out fine
each time dyno showed it not to be opening up
so GONE!
