JZA61 accelerator cable

OK, I just want to make sure...
I suspect the stock MA61 supra accelerator cable is a few cm to short, is there anything easily acquirable from the wreckers, I had a good look but found the ma61 one to be long already, esp compared to most of the other stuff! (i.e. cheap), or do I need to find an ex 1/2JZGTE one?
draven, norbie etc, what did you use?!
Am I stuck looking for a JZA70, JZZ30, JZX81, JZX91 accelerator cable? Will these all fit OK?
If so anyone got one they want to donate to my good cause (or that I can procure cheaply?)?
Cheers
Wilbo

Try a KE70 cable, no promises, but it might be long enough - a cable that's too long is easy to shorten, it's the other way round that creates a problem.

I used a JZS147 Aristo throttle cable - perfect fit. If you can find someone who bought an Aristo half cut you might be able to nab it. Failing that, head to the wreckers with a measuring tape and see what you can find. I have a feeling an RA65 cable might be a good bet since they have a front-mounted throttle.

Been to the wreckers....no luck as yet (had a look at pretty well all the Toyota's ). RA65 has the throttle on the drivers side (if I recall correctly) vis a vis passenger on the 1jz...hmm don't think it'll work...but I'm not sure! I haven't seen an RA65 at a wreckers in ages believe it or not...a fair few RA60's but not 65's.
For reference the MA61 cable is approx 1200mm end to end (that's a rough measurement btw so give it a bit of leeway!)
I'll post a wanted as well
Cheers

I'm using a 5MGE Mk2 cable for my 1G, it was a smidge longer than a 1GGE version, and it's a tad long for mine, as you can see from my fully sick bracket.

Use the EPC to get the part number for the JZS147 cable.
Then ring Toyota and get a price.
If its anything like other cables it will be about $75 I think.
I know this is probably WAY out of your student price range, but you get that

haha, I only have an oldschool EPC so no chance of getting it off mine...
and yes you are correct, $75 is well outside my student price range
