Will the 2TG head bolt straight onto the 3TGTE bottom end? is there any mods to be done? if so what are they?

Yes, it will bolt straight on. In fact, the 3T-GTE block is practically identical to the late-model 2T-GEU block. Building a hybrid 2T-GEU/3T-GTE should be a walk in the park, although you may want to double-check the piston-to-valve clearances.

Josh/Fly PSI,

I assume you are both thinging of a Turbo Hybrid 2TG/3TGEU ?

Yes the heads fit on Valve releifs can easily be worked out by a decent Engine Builder. Also depends on the compression your going to run. Ie Domed top piston needs a bigger releif to a flat top Piston.

Other thing is then what cams and ECU you will be running. I don't know that the Stock 3TGTE computer could handle the 2TGEU cams.

Depending on your time frame you may be able to see how mine goes. (Yes thats what I have been building since August last year Sad )
There is also another one being built in the gong as we speak !

Rod,
Ive got a 2tgeu head with mild cams init which im wanting to use in the hybrid 3T/2TG it will be turboed. Im dont know what computer i will be useing. Ive got a Microtech Digi1+ an MT8, but i dont think i will using either of them.
I was thinkin of running around 8-8.6:1 compression i would also be making all my own manifolding as i work in a metal Fab workshop.
Now all i need is a 3TGTE bottom end for the conversion, anyone got one for sale?
By the way this will be going in my new TA22,which already has a 2TGEU init.

That US TA is sweet Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile Smile
