gz20 soarer smash repair advice Tue, 19 July 2005 20:19 Go to next message
Hi guys. just looking for a bit of info regarding getting my baby up n running again. did some searching around and couldnt find any related threads so i'm going for the direct approach Wink

it was a side impact into a gutter at high speed. most of the force went on the rear drivers wheel and to a lesser extent the front. the chassis looks twisted as the bonnet is out of whack.

other than whats visible in the pics i cant say much about it coz i'm not a cluey cars guy but i'm hoping to get a little involved with the repairs to keep costs down after i get the major work out of the way. its been sitting on blocks for a while (3-4 years) waiting for me to do something.

if any of you could point me to a good smash repair joint in melbourne (pref eastern) that has some knowledge of soarers. that'd be awesome and if anyones had a similar job done i'd love a ball park guestimate Very Happy

heres some pics Crying or Very Sad to give some ideas

I did similar in my car, but probably not quite that bad

I'd advise to start searching for lower and upper control arms for that rear wheel to start with... Get the car driveable first and then take it to the smash repairers
