Alternative alternator bracket for 4AG?

Here's the thing.
Have 20VST, for reasons of space I can't use std alternator. I have found a suitably small alternator (1kg lighter too ) from a petrol 2Y Dyna that fits except that the distance between the mounting bolts for is 6.5mm closer for the Dyna alternator. Does anyone know if the top alternator bracket from other 4A's are interchangable (or even different?) with the 20V one?
why have i bothered typing this out...nobody is going to know this...
Julian.

with conversions you generally remake something - for instance the diahatsu & suzuki alternators are made by the same company that makes them for toyota, just smaller. mounts can be easily modified
cut & reweld the tensioner bracket to suit you new installation i suggest.

Thanks T,
I had anticipated having to redo the bracket but thought I might throw the question out there...just in case.
Cheers,

Not sure what the 20v are like, but on my rwd big port I used a different alternator which had different mounting distance between ears.
All i did was, since the rwd adjustment mount has two bolts holding it to the block, you just slot one (you could even do it to both) of the bolt holes in the adjuster and adjust it that way.
Works perfectly here.
