the SV21 camry will fit, 1987-1992 3SFE, but have different ratios than the st162 box.

ahhh ok, thanks. are the ratios less sporty? less 'fun'? what is the gearbox model that is on the st162? thanks a lot for the help.

k just did a bit of reading, worked all that out. couldnt quite distinguish model numbers for the gearboxes tho, im after:
model numbers for camry or celica gbox's thatll work: both the manual and auto model numbers. cheers, just so i know what to ask for

I have an A540E 4 speed ECT auto out of a VZV21 V6 Camry. 1988 Model. I believe it will bolt up to the 3SFE and 3SGE. Needs a good clean, but was in working order when I removed it. Sit in Dandy Vic.

i got one from a 2nd gen 3sge with about 55000kms plus the torque convertor
|
