I really need a pair of chain guids for my 18r-gu, i'm just about to put it back and can't find a set. Are they available anywhere or can I get em made, any one got a spare set they could post up to me. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I hate to day it but your going to have to go genuine. and be prepared for a huge shock
i payed $198 for the top cam chain tensioner on my 18R-GEU the banana shaped bit 1 sucky friggen bit of plastic and metal.
gotta love imports.

I can't afford genuine I'm going to see if anyone wants to have a crack at fabricating one for me, might even see if there is something from another engine that might be adaptable. Be best if someone had a stuffed RG with half decent guids that I could get my hands onto.

Yeah, failing that, im sure you could find a wrecked engine for less than buying the genuine part ... :/ Whether or not the guides would be in good shape is another matter tho i suppose ...

I'd have to be lucky I spose. I think if I could get someone to make them, that would be the cheapest...I hope. $400 I was quoted for the big "banana shaped" one and the long tensioner one (tensioner screws onto).
