mr2. do they have rear seats?

did the Mr2 ever come out with rear seats??? thinking of purchasing the turbo one about 1995 model i think it is.

erins is registerd as a "Toyota Unknown" i asked them about it they said it didnt matter as long as the chasis number was right. mine on the other hand is a "Toyota MR287A"

I know it sounds like a stupid question, but I have read about JDM ones that were 2+2. There was an article in one of my magazines that I had at one stage that had a 2+2 MR2, a GZE powered one and a 3SGTE powered one.

as stated above the whole concept of the car was a Mid engined - Rwd - 2 seat car hence the name MR2
as far as i know there was no factory 2+2 mr2's it would be a mr4 in that case there is certainly no room in the aw11 for a seat of any kind behind the drivers seat.
You may be getting confused with the 300zx which came in a 2 seater and 2+2 seater

Have a look at an MR2 some time (either AW11 or SW20) and you'll realise a back seat is entirely impossible without significant lengthening of the chassis. Such a beast never existed from the factory.
