is the 4efte available as a rwd. I thought it was in a starlet so that would make it fwd. But i keep findind on the net a rwd.

theres are no rwd 4efte realeased..

it can be used in RWD if you can afford to fabricate a customized bellhousing to mate it with t50 or w series tranny

Early starlets were RWD, the KP series (With a K series engine obvously). Later EP starlets were FWD. As said above the E engines were never released RWD

It will be alot easier to jut go with a 4AGE. I know its been done before, but theres a good reason.

Also the 4EFTE is only 1300cc's, you cant expect much from it.

i was thinking it would be different to everybody else, plus i have one readily available to me. As im not looking at being a hoon but still having a bit of power there i thought i 1.3lt turbo with a bit of mild work should provide a lil bit of zip. Anyone know where or how much it would cost to get a custom bell housing made to mate a t50 to it?

You would be best off putting the 4E on a stand and start measuring up the bellhousing, clutch setup and a RWD gear box of some sort. See if you can make an adapter plate to make it all work.
I have seen a RWD 4E-FTE in the past but I dont know any details.
