what tail shaft do the celica's use? would a ke70 or ae86 tailshaft fit?

KE70 manual tailshaft will fit. Auto will not.
AE71 tailshafts will not fit.
AE86 tailshafts will not fit.
This is because the K40/K50 output spline is the same as the early T50 output spline, but T50s from 4A motors have a different output spline to the early T50 &K40/K50.

hey jim,
where abouts do you live? i'm very interested in the t50 that was in your car.
did you ever have any downshifting problems?
ie: not being able to get 3rd gear without messing about????

Probably the same tailshaft, but the yoke is different because 4A T50s have 22 spline output shafts.

So would the celica t50 have the same input shaft as the 4A one. And would it bolt upto a 4-ac bellhousing and clutch because if so i'm interested.
