Anyone know anything about PS2 Hard Drives?
Seen a couple for sale in other forums and interested in using a HDD.
Just wondering what kind of Hard drive it uses? same as computer hard drives?
Connection? how are they connected?
I have a spare 80gig Western Digital hard drive, thinking of putting it into use.
Anyone know ANYTHING about HDD for a ps2?

i contacted sony ages ago, said that they were no longer availiable, there is no real need for them, unless you are a programmer, because no game in australia is supported by them so waste of time i thinks...

no game in australia is supported by what?? the genuine sony ps2 hdd?? who wants that anyway when you can get a 160gb hdd and play all your "imported" or "back ups"

I've got one for my PS2 here is what you need.
1. A ps2 network adaptor,
2. HDAdvance or HDloader disc.
3. 40Gig+ HD any really I use 80Gig IBM Hitachi one.
Just plug the HD into the network adaptor slide it in the machine close it all up pop in the HDAdvance disc and you're set.

Western Digital HDD won't work.
google.com.au the PAL version of HDadvance. I found a site on the net to get mine but can't remember it now
