Heater hose caused engine to die?

Well, as you all know, I have had heaps of troubles with my car, and it may have been the mechanics fault. The engine finally died, with loss compression in 2 cylinders, and the car not starting. Brought to a new mechanic (Unique Automotive, Vilawood!), he says th sump was rubbing against the x member, and the motor, was "squashing" the heater hose against the firewall, causing a kink. Can this, or di t he cause the Motor to loos compression? I also heard, it can cause blown HG.

The heater hose at the firewall is probably only the bypass hose for the heater anyway. If the heater isn't on, the water doesnt flow and there is an alternative path around that.
So i would say no it isn't the cause of your problems. But without looking at it, its hard to give a proper answer.
