Here i'll help u guys along i've been doin some research and i found that u may be able to have the 4agze throttle bodys internal diameter machined out to match a N/A 4age throttle body! You can then use the 4age butterfly plate from inside its throttle body and screw it onto the bar inside the 4agze. Very inexpensive, very worthwhile. MAchineing is pretty cheap as far as i under stand!

What do u think??

No it didn't fit straight on. It required a pipe to be made to locate the throttle body in a different location. This would not work if your using standard computer unless you change TPS etc. My engine died before I could take it out for a thrashin. Let you know next year I hope.

There are much bigger restrictions int he ZE inlet system than the throttle body. Have a look inside the supercharger outlet pipe, of the pipe that feeds the inlet manifold. A bigger throttle body isn't going to make much difference unless you also enlarge these parts.

i totally agree with you there Ben, the ze inlet system sux!!!

i would think you could take off the inlet manifold, and die grind it out (i have spent many hours looking at the set-up). then make up a complete new plate and larger diameter pipe work to bolt on...
as for the smaller dia. s/c piping etc. i spose if you wanted to spend some money, you could get all larger dia. pipe work done for it too...

just some idea's..Smile

or just put on a ge inlet manifold, ge throttle body, and turbo it...Evil or Very Mad

Cheers ok.. I have redone the pipework on the outlet of the i'c to the inlet pipe of the manifold..and picked up a bit more flow.. but i think your talkin from then on.. arent u??

Cheers
Sicsx

PS Dont worry if i had a bit more money i would turbo it.. since it just bolts on.! Very Happy

Freakyes, i'm also talking about the pipe that bolts directly to the inlet manifold, the one with the cold start injector on it...
it has a damn small opening (or restriction) depends which way you look at it...Smile
i would look into die grinding the inlet manifold itself out bigger on the top plate, i have looked at it, and i think it can be done...
using the 2 original bolt holes on the passenger side of it, and then you would need to get 2 new holes drilled and tapped on the drivers side of it...
there is a lot of space to be opened up on the inlet manifold... then you could either modify the pipe, or make another one (preferable), with a mount for the cold start injector....

i hope this makes sense??, as i am inbetween the computer and doing a few mod's on my car..Evil or Very Mad
