Ok I've now got myself an 18rgeu ECU ( Thanks Wild Supra )

Now i need to wire it up, Is it possible to do without the Loom or am I dreaming. I've got two wiring diagrams

This one is different to my setup.
and

This one I think will be useful

Has anyone Wired up an 18rgeu them selves? Or am I better to take it somewhere and get them todo it or try and find a loom for it all???

All Help Needed....

Yes, I have done it. It's a piece of piss, you should do it yourself and save a fortune. By the way, both those diagrams were lifted from my web site.

I knew i got them from some where related to here,
The only problem I can see at the moment is the pin outs.
Mine is completley different. Does this matter?
If i can get around this I should be fine.

I\'ve wired up a 2TGEU and 3TGTEU loom before, as norbie said with the right diagrams infront of you, its a piece of piss. It still costs money to do, like I was charged $50 for the sensor connectors, Wiring was at least another $30, and electrical tape, solder, etc, but no where near the cost to pay someone else to do it.

The main thing is to make sure you have the correct wiring diagram for the computer. Take the top off the computer and look at the board, it should have the connections labeled (eg STA, IG, PSW,etc). Then go to this site-
http://www.geocities.com/MotorCity/Pit/9975/dataBy Subject/Pinouts.html
and try to find a computer to match the pinouts (I was using a 22RE computer on my 2TGEU, It ran fine for months before I realised, was leaning out high end but).

You don\'t really need the correct diagram if you use the pinout initials and look at a similar diagram to find where the connections go (eg. find STA by opening the computer, look at another toyota diagram and find where STA connects to).

Have fun.

Yes, it would help if you find out which computer you have. I'm not aware of there being different versions of the 18R-GEU ECU, so you probably have something else. In any case, as long as you can find out which pin is which (as mentioned above, it's printed on the circuit board next to each pin) you should be fine.

Hey Old School,

How long have you had your celica for? has it already gota 18RG in it? coz i seem to remember racing one exactly the same as yours in my old orange RA28 down the High way towards Yass etc a few years ago. And it was a damn close race, so just wondering if it was yours.

OK by opening up the ECU and checking out the board i've got what i need and have put together my own pinout diagram.
It is exactly the same as a 2tgeu but the E1 and E2 are in opposite positioins, I should be able to work it out now.

Thanks heaps guys
