inverter is MOST DEFINITELY needed.
The inverter changes the ~12Vdc power in your PC/car to ~405Vac to run the CCFL.

yellow goes to positive, black goes to ground (the 16awg wire out of the inverter).
hte little black box is the inverter.
works fine.
white ones to replace boot interiror lights work awesome

Ok cool cheers champs... .. wasnt sure as I didnt know if the PC power was AC or DC.... so now thats clarified...
yeh they were cheap, thats why I got them... was $26 including post (ebay styles)

oh yeh.. was I correct with the wiring.... ie: -neg to earth and +pos to +pos with a switch to break the circuit on the +pos wire..?
just need to be 100% sure
