3S-GTE Rocker Cover Breather (???)

Hi, Noobie here. I'm just in the process of rebuilding my 3S-GTE in my '91 MR2. Theres a pipe coming out of the rocker cover and I have no idea where it goes.
http://www.turbomr2.com/MR2/HowTo/Engine_Upgrade/R ebuild/Images/Engine/Valve_Cover_5549.JPG
Heres a pic, I'm referring to the red L shaped pipe to the left of the picture - when I bought the car, it had just been left open. When left open as it is, it causes the engine to idle rouhgly. I was hoping someone would be able to tell me where it goes - what's it meant to be connected to? Plugging it up, although smoothens out my idle, is not a good idea I'm guessing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Dasun

positive crank case ventialtor - they are usually routed back into your intake BEFORE the turbo on Gt4's , im prety sure its similar on Mr2's
getr your self an oil vapor catch can - plumb a hose from that to it - then run a second line from catch can to intake tubing - this will help stop any oily residue getting thru your intercooler and gumming up things in your intake
theres a second vaccum hose that comes off from behind the motor - thats got to do with your idle control - it also needs to be plumbed in - i can show you which two i mean in a pic of my gt4;s engine bay if you like ( im sure i have a photo here somewhere of the pipes in question )

Thanks heaps for that. Yes, It would be great to see those pics, so if you can find them that would be really appreciated too. I was considering an oil vapor catch can as well after seeing a picture of that set up on a 3S, but would you happen to know how much this would set me back? Is it a very difficult job?
Thanks again,
Dasun
