I'm looking to buy one, oil needs a change.
I was wondering what type of filter the 1jz uses (a few recommendations would be good), and the best place to pick one up.

I just use the freely available Ryco 418 / Valvoline V22 (same type as V6 Camry filters)
The "high performance" filters seem a little hard to find at the usual auto shops.
Just buy in bulk and you can get a discount, or wait till K-mart has 15% off to stock up on filters (and Mobil 1).

I just use the standard Ryco 418 / Valvolene V22.
I just buy in bulk and change it often.
I've found it hard to get so called high performance filters like K&N at the usual auto shops.
