I have finished wiring up wolf 3d v4 to 4agte with out any major issues. I didnt have 4agze std ignitor so I emailed wolf themselves and they told me to use std bosche ignitor which is simple. I think if you download latest installation manual it calls up a bosche 021/024 coil ignitor. You need two ignitors (unless you buy expensive single dual coil ignitor)and wire it up as per 4 cylinder wastespark arrangement section 4.3.4.2.

When you try (and i mean try) and start the engine you will come across a problem with the CAS trigger. The signal from toyota standard CAS is too weak and causes the sparks and fuel injectors to fire all over the place. You need to order a little black box (approx $70)from wolf (item no. 310-070-400)which plugs directly between ECU and CAS, and eliminates any problems.

With absolutely zero previous wiring experience I wired a 3D V4 to a 4AGZE with no major dramas. Just read the manuals carefully a couple of times. There are good lists of what all the wires in the loom are and basically where they need to go.

I have had no problems running the CAS signal direct to the ECU either. However I do use the variable signal level over the rev range function.

Use a pair of ignitors. Bosch 008 ones from Camiras will do, along with probably many others.

PS, re-reading it sounds like you may not have the manuals. Get in touch with Wolf and see what they can do about that.

i didnt have any problems with the crank angle sensor as im running a dizzy but the wolf had problems dividing the 24 tooth dizzy into 4 so we had to grind 20 teeth off the dizzy for it to work properly

^^^ I have had no such problems and my CAS still has 24 teeth. It's all in the setup, using SYNC and REF, you have to set how many pulses to skip. It's all in the manuals though, so go have a read.

yeah it was set to skip the pulses but sill didnt and would only fire on the 4th cylinder however i dont have any faith in my tuner so no doubt part of the problem was him... Altho from what i hear from a few ppl including my tuner was that the manuals are less than helpfull at some times...

I found my number one spark firing all over the place. I looked on tech info number 9 under website and they talk about problems with toyota cas with respect to the ground being for both triggers.

Even with sensitivity set to very low and all the right parameters it wouldnt fire. Put the black box in, bam! first time firing with hiccup without need to modify the CAS
