*A70 Heat/AC light bulbs?

Hey guys just a quicky i went to replace the bulbs in my heat/AC control box when i found out that they at 14v ones eith the longer glass ends (broken?) off and the wires out of them wrapped around a rubber holder and then slipped on to a circut board. the Q is do i just snap off the extra glass on the 14v and wrap the now longer wires the same way and whack em in? (wont this brake the seal of the bulb?) OR is there a 'short' 14v bulb out there?
I havent looked yet but soem one may be able to save me some time?
BTW its here and not in the tech section because it hardly seams worth putting there!
