This is probably a very stupid question
Have 1ggze in hilux 4x4 running microtech LT-10S, How the feck do I wire my tacho up?? do I have to wire it into the ecu or Do I just pick up and ignition source from somewhere ??????
If I wire it to the ecu. Do I need to get it set up for a tacho or is there a specific way it needs to be done

You can take the tacho signal from the ignitor. You can also use the tacho output signal from the Microguess, but you'll probably need a tacho booster to make that work with the OEM tacho.

The Ignitor ????
I dont know much about the electronics side of the engine. I was an old school V8 boy who is just coming to terms with efi and boost. Im liking it
Is that the other bit to the ecu we had to buy to run the coil packs ? if it is where the heck to I wire it to that

Yes the ignitor is the module that runs the coils. Not sure exactly where you'd wire up the tacho, the product documentation might mention it though?

What brand Ignitors are you using?
Do you have 3 ignitors to run the 3 coils? or the factory 1GGZE ignitor?
With 3 ignitors you run off one, and you'll get a 2cyl output
With 1 ignitor, you'll get a 6cyl output.
I'm guessing the dash is 4cyl, so it will need recalibrating.

I bought an after market tacho so the dash bit isnt the problem
Im using the microtech ignition module to run the 3 coil packs
It must have a tacho output on it somewhere. Ill check out the microtech site.
thanks for your help so far

I haven't seen the schematic for the microtech unit but it would have one for sure.
It should have come with one (a schematic that is) that should be able to tell you which wire is tacho.
