Can i fit this engine in my RA61 without trouble and does it fit directly on the transmisson?

That engine is a 2T and I doubt it will bolt to your current gearbox.

T bolt pattern is same as G
R is different.

it would be too much trouble for no gain, im suprised your 21R-C is in worse condition than this sad 2T.
is that white car next to the celica a camry or a mark II ?
arent there any popular RWD toyota engines in sweden that will suit your RA61?
do the hiluxes run R series engines like they do here? if so theres your source.

where in sweden are you?
im in norway, and i have a friend that lives near the swedish boarder, he have several R series engines.. maybe that could be intressrting?
22Re will fit directly,and as far as i know you can use ur 21r manifoild, or even the top from ur old engine, or better yet, get a 20R top on the 22r and u will get great compression.
for gods sake, dont put in a 2t, its a piece of shit engine.
