How different are R, S & T-series xA6x Celica crossmembers?

Just a thought - does anyone know if the R, S and T-series xA6x Celica crossmembers are much different (apart from the mounts)? Was thinking that if some were shaped differently - to allow for different engine/sump configs - then a particular one may favour a particular 1G sump config... and thus not require a custom swaybar. Hope this makes sense.

yep
the TA22 xmember allows for a front sump and is not interchangeable with anything but TA22.
the TA23 and RA23 xmember will bolt into any TA23/RA23/28
the TA23 xmember allows for a front sump and the RA23/28 xmember allow for a mid sump engine.
RA40 is same as RA23 allows for midsump and should be interchangeable with TA23/RA23/28
RA6# im not 100% but it think its front sump but not interchangeable with the earlier models

rob: I think he meant RA60, RA65, TA63, SA63, AA6X
and to answer the question... I think RA65 is a winner. Ask Max (Nark)

Draven is right. I know RA6x fits with the 1G front sump, but requires a custom swaybar as the sump and the swaybar try to occupy the same space. If, say, the SA6x or Ta6x crossmembers were differently-shaped, then maybe they could accommadate a different 1g sump. I have no idea as I've never seen the other crossmembers.

I know Supra crossmember won't fit in Celica's.

All crossmembers will be the same overall shape. Note how the steering rack is bolted to the back of the crossmember, so the shape has to be fixed otherwise the steering geometry will change!

I can confirm RA63 and TA63 crossmembers are the same other than engine mounts.

Thanks all. I thought perhaps the front curve of the xmember might be different to suit different engines, at least I know now
