I'm just wondering if anyone has any links to any car racing from the 80s? In particular possibly any vids of rally celicas and supras racing on the track..

i have been meaning to edit out a clip from a video I have on my pc called 'driftwinkles'. Its a german doc on the rally cars from 80's early 90's. the bit i wanted to edit is of a gt4 going through some of the biggest puddles ever  , stay tuned...

I've got the australian toyota dealership video that they (presumably) showed in dealerships for the MX83 cressida
its pretty funny, cause its so corny
I'll try and find the link for it, I think i got it off southo
it was off one of the other cressida guys anyway 
so funny, so cliche LOL
goes for a while too, explains the "SEVEN EMM - GEE EEE" motor heh

Which is faster?
This is the question many people want to know the answer to. Well, it depends. On a racetrack, up Pikes Peak, or on fast, sweeping roads like those used in the 1980s, the Group B car would win. On tight, winding stages like those run today (due to the maximum allowable average speed of 120km/h), the WRC car would be quicker. The Lancia's significant power and weight advantages would give it the edge on faster roads, while the Focus' chassis and handling are worlds better than any Group B car, giving it the nod for any modern rally.
In short, the development of the Group B cars was mainly focused on getting as much power as possible out of the engine, while the designers of the current crop of rally cars pay much more attention to the chassis. It's a classic case of brute force versus finesse.

You should see the promotional video for the older corolla seca sx - hillarious! There's like this farmer with his dog, and the dog picks up, and he's fanging the crap out of this corolla... I think bigben has it on his computer.
