MX83 ECT ECU location? Sat, 13 August 2005 08:16 Go to next message
Hello All,

Does anyone know where the ECT ECU location is as I can't find it in a mates car?

If anyone have diagrams/pictures that would be great.

Cheers.

You won't find one. The transmission is controlled by the engine ECU in a MX83. The older model MX73's had the seperate ECU and ECT setup. As you would know the Engine ECU is located behind and above the glove box.
PM me your email address if you want the engine wiring diagrams. I have the entire MX83 electrical schematics scanned and on my PC,

US 87-88 Cressida's use separate ecu's for the tranny too.

They use the A340E I believe, not sure how different it is to the local MX83 A340E though.
